2021 International Powerlifting Association (IPA) Strength Spectacular Powerlifting Championship held in York, Pennsylvania
Powerlifter Jimmy Kolb set a new world record in the event after recording the heaviest bench press ever
He benched 1,120-pounds (508 kilograms) to wear a single-ply suit and took gold in the 140kg weight class of the Bench Press-only competition
Jimmy Kolb climbed back in January at an event in Bellmawr, New Jersey where he bench pressed 1,050 pounds (4762 kilograms)
Then in March, he raised his bench press to 1,0803 pounds in another event
So this is not unprecedented and it looks like he is going to break the bench press world record
Here’s a picture of Kolb scoring the 1,120 world record while wearing a one-ply jersey
Taking a scroll through her Instagram feed is wild
He calmly puts over a thousand pounds on the bench press while training for a competition and is ready to break the world record
