Who weighs the most among cricketers?
Before we begin this article, it should be emphasized that this is in no way a disparaging article criticizing actors because of their weight.
This article will only explore the top 5 heaviest cricketers in the world and why they carry extra weight.
Although fitness plays a big part in modern cricket, many coaches are not keen on being too overweight because it is found to affect overall performance.
So who are the five toughest cricketers on the planet, including current players and those from the past?

Kieron Pollard, the West Indian all-rounder, is number five in this list.
This is because he is very tall and has a lot of muscle mass instead of fat tissue.
He loves to wow the crowd with such skills while playing for various franchises like Mumbai Indians and also for his national team.
Kieron Pollard is number five on our list of “5 Toughest Cricketers in the World.”
CANBERRA, AUSTRALIA – NOVEMBER 05: Mohammad Irfan of Pakistan celebrates beating the wicket of Aaron Finch of Australia during the second match of the International Twenty20 series between Australia and Pakistan at Manuka Oval on November 5, 2019 in Canberra, Australia.

Mohammad Irfan is fourth on our list, thanks solely to his height.
He’s a fantastic athlete, but his 7ft 1 height means he weighs 105kg, despite a lot of that being bone and muscle density.
Irfan is tall and lean and has a good career for Pakistan.
The strength of the left-arm fast bowler is his pace and bounce.
Mohammad Irfan is fourth in our list of “Top 5 Toughest Cricketers in the World”.

Port-of-Spain, TRINIDAD AND TOBAGO: Bermuda cricketer Dwayne Leverock dives successfully to take a catch of Indian cricketer Robin Uthappa off Malachi Jones during the group stage match between India and Bermuda at the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, in Trinidad and Tobago, March 19, 2007.

Dwyane Leverock weighs about 127 kg, which puts him at number three on this list.
Unlike the other two above, Leverock does not have a tall and muscular body, but instead has a lot of fatty tissue.
However, this did not affect his cricket career and he did well both domestically and internationally.
His claim to fame is the catch he took off Robin Uthappa during the Cricket World Cup in 2007. That’s because it was a sensational one-handed diving catch in the slips.
Dwyane Leverock showed great athleticism in the outfield and should be applauded for such efforts.
Dwyane Leverock is number three on our list of “5 Toughest Cricketers in the World”.
In second place is former Australian cricketer Warwick Armstrong who weighed around 133 kg.
He was an excellent all-rounder who scored 2863 runs at a batting average of 38.68 and took 87 wickets at a bowling average of 33.59.
His highest score of 11 on debut stood until it was broken by Ashton Agar in 2013 against England.
Warwick Armstrong is number two on our list of “Top 5 Heaviest Cricketers in the World.”

Topping our list is Rahkeem Cornwall.
The West Indian all-rounder weighs 308 pounds or just over 139.7 kg, making him the heaviest cricketer in the world.
A lot of that can be attributed to his 6-foot-7 height.
Cornwall has both a mix of muscle and fat tissue and it’s safe to say he could perform better if he lost weight.
Nevertheless, he has had a great start to his international career to date.
In just 6 Tests, the non-working right arm has taken 31 wickets, which is very healthy.
Rahkeem Cornwall continues to be criticized for his weight of 22 stone as we live in a modern world where fitness and body shape are of the utmost importance, especially being an athlete.
Rahkeem Cornwall is number one on our list of “Top 5 Toughest Cricketers in the World.”
