Bodybuilder Shaun Clarida Is at His Heaviest-Ever

The pinnacle of bodybuilder Shaun Clarida’s career so far is undoubtedly the 2020 Mr. His 212 Olympia wins at Olympia.

The 39-year-old, who finished second to Derek Lunsford last year, may be determined to be the best in the 212th division again.

On June 11, 2022, the International Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness (IFBB) Pro League competitor shared an update on where his physique is.

Clarida will be held December 16-18, 2022 in Las Vegas, NV at the 2022 Mr. He says he now weighs in at 211 pounds—his heaviest bodyweight ever—when he started ramping up his training and prep for the Olympia.

At the time of this writing, Clarida has not yet clarified whether it will compete in the 212 division or the Open division.

Clarida technically qualified in both divisions thanks to a win at the 2021 Legion Sports Fest in the Men’s Open division.

2022 About six months before Olympia, Clarida’s current body weight is at the 2021 Mr. That’s roughly 30 pounds more than its Olympia rival weighs.

In the caption of her Instagram post, Clarida says it’s her weight during a customary check-in with her longtime coach, Matt Jansen.

Clarida still has plenty of time to prepare herself before she considers going head-to-head with Lunsford again.

If he chooses to compete in the Open instead, he will have to contend with the likes of Nick Walker and Hunter Labrada, among others.
