“Deadliest Catch” Season 19: New Faces & Old Favor

– April 26, 2023 Just a few days ago, Discovery announced the premiere of Deadliest Catch season 19.

They revealed that there are a lot of new faces this season, as well as some old ones.

For example, Captain Andy Hillstrand returns with Brother Neal and Captain Johnathan to fish on the F/V Time Bandit.

Captain Sig Hansen returns to F/V Northwestern with his daughter Captain Mandy Hansen.

For those who haven’t heard the shocking news, Captain Josh Harris has been fired from the Discovery series.

He starred in two series alongside Captain Casey McManus, including OG and Bloodline.

Even more shocking than Josh’s firing, however, was the reason he wasn’t in the series.

What was the shocking reason Josh Harris was fired from Deadliest Catch?

Why was Josh Harris fired from deadliest catch?

Deadliest Catch fans who are gearing up for the season 19 premiere on April 18 may be surprised to learn that F/V Cornelia Marie isn’t back.

That means Captain Phil’s oldest son, Josh Harris, is not back.

Why didn’t Josh come back to the Discovery series?

Fans of the show may have missed a shocking piece of information last fall.

As it turns out, Josh Harris has been keeping a secret.

Plus, no one seems to know about it until August 2022 when it’s listed on social media.

Back in August, a now-deleted Reddit post revealed that in 1998, Josh Harris had been arrested and convicted of sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl.

Harris was 15-16 years old at the time of the incident.

According to Cinema Blend, first reported by Factz, Harris “digitally, vaginally and orally raped a 4-year-old girl on July 14, 1998.” DNA evidence, including blood and semen, was recovered at the scene.

Thus, Josh Harris was officially arrested in 1999.

The preschool girl is the neighbor and daughter of a sailor.

In the affidavit, the very young girl told investigators that Josh made her call their genitals “pee.” Afterwards, it was unclear whether Harris would have to register herself as a sex offender.

Many fans of the series know that Harris is now the father of a little girl, which upsets a lot of people.

Discovery Channel issues statement on Josh Harris

However, what is clear is that Discovery never conducts background checks on their reality TV stars.

However, they did have something to say about Harris.

After catching up with Josh Harris on the Deadliest Catch star’s past, what did Discovery say to him?

A representative for Discovery issued a statement about Harris.

Josh will not appear in future episodes of the series.

It’s unclear if Discovery will choose to remove the disgraced former reality star from their current content, as Harris has appeared in nearly 200 episodes of the OG series.

Former Deadliest Catch star keeps quiet on social media

With one exception, Josh Harris has remained silent on social media since the news broke in September 2022.

On Feb. 11, he posted a photo on Instagram of his father, the affable Capt. Phil Harris.

F/V Cornelia Marie will not appear in Deadliest Catch Season 19.
