Who is Todd Kochutin?
News of Todd Kochutin’s death was first reported by the Anchorage Daily News.
Todd likes fishing, of course, but also likes music and playing video games when he’s not on the boat.
Todd only appeared in two episodes of Dead Catch.
The reality TV series follows the different ships in the season and shows the dangers of the job.
Other former employees who have starred in the show have died due to other circumstances, such as drug overdoses and even mass murder.
Like everything on television, fans learned about Tod Kochutin’s death long after it happened.
News of his death emerged this week, more than a year after his real-life death.
Here is what is known about the events that led to his death.
The tragic death of Todd From ‘The Dead Catch’
Although fans of The Deadliest Catch only learned about the fisherman’s death, the 30-year-old died on February 26, 2021.
The circumstances leading to his death have not been disclosed.
It was only reported that he died “from blunt force trauma while aboard the F/V Patricia Lee.”

Captain Sig Hansen said he believes Kochutin may have been hit with a pottery sledgehammer, which can weigh up to 800 pounds.
In an episode that has since aired, Captain Hansen learns about the injuries that occurred on FV/Patricia Lee. Over the radio, it just says that the person being treated by the medevac is very sick.
Soon after, it was revealed that Todd died.
Now, that’s all that is known about the death of the young man.
