The Discovery series returns with some “fresh new faces” as well as some fan favorites.
Returning is captain Sig Hansen.
Along with their daughter, Captain Mandy Hansen, the two are back on the F/V Northwestern “against a new threat.”

– April 26, 2023 Just a few days ago, Discovery announced the premiere of season 19 of Deadliest Catch.
They revealed that there are a lot of new faces this season, as well as some old ones.
For example, Captain Andy Hillstrand is back with brothers Neal and Captain Johnathan, fishing on the F/V Time Bandit.
Captain Sig Hansen and his daughter Captain Mandy Hansen are back together on the F/V Northwestern.
For those who didn’t hear the shocking news, Captain Josh Harris was fired from the Discovery franchise.
He, along with captain Casey McManus, played in two series, including OG and Bloodline.
But what’s more shocking than Josh’s firing is the reason he’s not in the series.
What’s the shocking reason Josh Harris was fired from Deadliest Catch?
Why was Josh Harris fired from the deadliest catch?
Deadliest Catch fans gearing up for the April 18 season 19 premiere may be surprised to find that the F/V Cornelia Marie will not be returning.
That means Josh Harris, Captain Phil’s oldest son, is not back.
Why isn’t Josh back in the Discovery series?
There is one shocking piece of information that fans of the show may have missed last fall.
It turns out Josh Harris was keeping a secret.
Also, no one seemed to know about it until it was listed on social media in August 2022.
In August, a now-deleted Reddit post revealed that Josh Harris had been arrested and convicted in 1998 of sexually assaulting a 4-year-old girl.
Harris would have been between 15-16 years old at the time of this incident.
According to Cinema Blend, which was first reported by Factz, Harris reports that Harris “digitally, vaginally and orally raped a 4-year-old girl on 7/14/1998.” DNA evidence was recovered at the scene which included blood and semen.
Therefore, Josh Harris was formally arrested in 1999.
The preschool girl was a neighbor and the daughter of a deckhand.
In the affidavit, the very young girl told investigators that Josh let her call their genitals “pee-pee.” Afterwards, it has not been clear whether Harris was required to register as a sex offender.
Many fans of the series know that Harris is now the father of a young girl, which may feel uncomfortable for many.

Discovery Channel speaks out about Josh Harris
What has become clear, however, is that Discovery never did background checks on its reality stars.
Still, they had something to say about Harris.
What did Discovery say about Josh Harris after the Deadliest Catch star’s past caught up with him?
A Discovery representative released a statement about Harris.
Josh will not appear in future episodes of this series.
it’s not known if Discovery will choose to remove the disgraced former reality star from their current lineup, as Harris has appeared in nearly 200 episodes of the OG series.

On February 11, he posted on Instagram a photo of his father, the lovable Captain Phil Harris.
F/V Cornelia Marie will not be part of Deadliest Catch Season 19.
